Frequently Asked Questions relating to care in your own home

I am incontinent – will this be a problem?

No – Our Team have incontinence training and care for all clients with dignity and respect.

I have a catheter bag – can your team administer the correct care?

Yes – Our team are fully trained in Catheter Care and deal with clients’ catheters on a daily basis.

I am unable to get in and out of the bath and need help with my personal care.

We are able to assist you with a full body wash/shower/bath.

I am unable to get myself up in the morning and put myself to bed.

Our team will get you up in the morning and put you to bed in the evening.

I have important medication I must take, but can be forgetful at times.

We can assist as much or as little as is required where taking your medication.

I have a commode – will this be emptied for me?

Yes, all our carer’s are happy to empty your commode for you as and when required.

Can you assist me with my shopping?

Yes – any help with shopping, including internet shopping, is offered within our services.

Can you assist me with my everyday household tasks?

Yes – our carers are happy to help you with everyday tasks.

I would love to go out for coffee one day.

Yes – you can choose wherever you want, our carers have transport and are happy to take you wherever you need to go.

I have a much loved pet that needs attention.

We are able to take much-loved pets to the vets or on walks if required.

I love home cooked meals.

We can prepare any kind of meals as and when required.

I have plants that need watering.

We can care for your plants or assist you in caring for them.

I have appointments that I need to attend.

Our care team can assist you with doctor or hospital appointments.
