We are based just up the road in Saffron Walden, and we already support people throughout Newport, Clavering and the surrounding villages. Our carers know the area, and we work hard to keep the same small team visiting each person, so they get to know you, your home and how you like things done.

What we can help with

• Personal care: help with washing, showering, dressing, getting up and going to bed, toileting and continence care.
• Medication: reminders and support to take medication safely.
• Meals: preparing breakfast, a hot lunch or an evening meal, and making sure drinks are taken.

Flexible visits

Some people need one visit a week for shopping and a chat. Others need help several times a day. Visits start from half an hour, seven days a week between 7am and 10pm, and can be changed as needs change.

Village life can be wonderful, but it can also be isolating, particularly for someone who no longer drives and lives some distance from family. Regular visits from a friendly carer mean someone is checking in, noticing if anything changes, and keeping in touch with you.

Care assessments for people living in Newport and Clavering are carried out by Essex County Council, and many people use Attendance Allowance to help with the cost.
